As a doctoral researcher affiliated at the University of Jyväskylä I am exploring the Saami Written Culture History in Finland, and more specifically analysing its evolution from its early phase of development within the socio-political context of the Grand Duchy of Finland until the early years of the foundation of independent Finland.

I have lived in Finland for 34 years, and thus acquired a large experience of the country.
What I Do
A Little About Me
Multidisciplinary Researcher
My current research aims to explore the history of Saami books collections located in Finland. Thanks to a multidisciplinary approach and by assessing the importance of disparate book collections, I aim to shed light on various aspects of the Saami education history in Finland and to refine the social history of that land at the time of publication of the first Saami books.
In 2001 the Finno-Ugrian Society published my catalogue: Le fonds Lapponica des Fellman : catalogue raisonné [...]. (Mémoires de la Société Finno-Ougrienne, No 239).

In 2017 I defended my PhD thesis on the Saami book history in Finland.
