About my research project
The Lapponica fonds of the Fellman family
I established the catalogue raisonné of the "Fonds Lapponica of the Fellman family", which was located in the Finno-Ugrian department of the university of Helsinki. Published in 2001, it was the first catalogue raisonné published in Finland.
The Saami book history in Finland
The publication of the catalogue raisoné was the occasion for me to shape my thesis subject: the Saami book history in Finland. Indeed, the Fonds had been collected by the Fellman familly for their translation in Saami and their studies on the Saamis in Finland.
Here are some books and articles used for my research:
E. W. Borg's Ánar Sämi aapis kirje, Saami alphabet book (1859),
copy of the Jyväskylä's University library

Logu-Luoittim Oappa-Kirji, Arithmetic book translated by Aslak Laiti,
currently located at the National Repository Library

Kielioloista Lapissa [on the linguistic situation in Lapland] / Lauri Itkonen (Kaiku, 43/15.4.1901)
